Sportradar‘s newly founded Sports Virtualisation unit develops innovative and disruptive technology to enable the transition from traditional sports media consumption to new ways to engage with sports. The latest computer vision technology is key to allow real-time rendering of statistics and virtual ads on top of broadcasts. It also enables the use of skeletal tracking data to render virtual recreations of sports events and transform the way they are experienced. Together with the top leagues and federations around the globe, we are working on our vision for a range of products to increase fan engagement for the world of tomorrow.

For the expansion of our team and the development of our future products based on the Unreal Engine 5 and Unity 2023, we are looking for you as an art director / senior designer immediately.

In this position, your experience in product design will lead you to work on original product designs, unify designs across our new products and provide guidance and coordination to our 2D/3D artists and motion graphics designers of multiple teams. Your design work will include sports and sports betting augmentations, user interfaces, character and environmental 3D designs and camera animations.

THE CHALLENGE:

Support our international team of developers and 2D/3D designers in exciting projects.
Create new designs for sports with augmented reality and virtualized recreations.
Eou will educate and guide the 2D/3D artists and motion designers to develop engaging new visualizations while maintaining a consistent design language.
Showcase excellent planning and task-scheduling skills for top-notch animations
Stay ahead of the curve in gaming technology and leverage the power of Unreal Engine 5
You take the individual differences between the various sports offered by Sportradar as a challenge to create optimized designs that reflect the sports unique strengths.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Art Director or Lead Artist in the gaming or broadcast domain.
Previous experience working with different creative tools and a strong passion for sports, gaming and graphics.
Past professional experience working with the Unreal Engine and/or Unity Engine
Ability to familiarize yourself with new sports and identify the essential features and design language for unique purposes
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in English, to effectively present creative work, articulate ideas clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
Creative mind, interested in refining our system and our processes
Art related university degree (BA / MA), or similar
Eye and experience for image composition to create professional marketing renderings
